Sequoia 200K

Did this ride on June 6, 2004. Started out very strong and hit a brick wall right before lunch. Think I managed to get dehyrated again. Would definetely use a camelbak next time as once you get dehytated you can't come back and get strong. The ride up Zayante after lunch was very difficult for me in the heat (85 degrees). Took me what seemed like hours and I passed by everybody except an 80 year old guy who I managed to beat to the top.

Still weigh 215 pounds. Too much for hard-core climbing no doubt. Can handle the 6-8% hills easily, but not the hard-core 10% hills.

Took me from 12 hours to get through this day. Over-all a good ride.
